Bike-friendly Physical Therapy: an innovative, full-service orthopedic Physical Therapy office, with a specialty in cycling injury and bike fitting. Pedal PT is committed to serving our community, and currently all services are performed 1-1, and by appointment only for both PT and Bike Fitting services. Be assured that our office and employees follow all CDC recommendations for healthcare workers, and hand washing, disinfectant wipes, and hand-sanitizer and masks are all utilized at the office.

Client visits have also been time-staggered so as to allow time for only 1-1 appointments, and to minimize group contact. If you are suffering from recent or longstanding injury, pain, or car/work accident, we are here to help you. A modern 'non-clinical' office, that has been awarded in both Sustainability and Bike Friendliness, and even client indoor Bike Parking!.

Skilled hands-on techniques and evaluation skills to determine the root cause of your symptoms. Emphasis on education and self-treatment, leading to faster recovery, and a strong 'game plan' for your future health goals.

Following an untimely dislocation/fracture of his elbow during a high school basketball game, Kevin experienced Physical Therapy first hand, and after a full recovery, was immediately sold on the career path.
Kevin went on to receive his Masters of Science in Physical Therapy (MSPT) degree from Grand Valley State University (Michigan) before promptly moving to Portland in 2002.
As someone who has experienced numerous cycling-related pains himself, Kevin's interest in complex cycling injury and bike fitting concepts prompted him to take extensive continuing education in becoming the very first certified Bike PT in Portland, OR.
Want to know more about Pedal PT and how we got started?
This great, 2min movie includes footage from about 7 months worth of community events (our monthly Free Coffee For Cyclists, partaking in the Division/Clinton Street Fair and parade), as well as providing client injury care, bike fitting, and general shenanigans with our Clinton neighbors.
Did you know?
The 3rd Thursday in April is "National High 5 Day' and has always been one of our favorite "Holidays" of the entire year.
Thus, we decided it would be fun to combine it with our monthly Free Coffee for Bicyclists event on Clinton, which turned out great! Believe it or not, this short fun film was featured during the 2016 Filmed By Bike film festival, and was nominated for a 'Local' Award!
If you Google "Bike Fitting" you're going to get a LOT of information, and much of it is false!
On average, 85% of all bicyclists experience some form of knee, back, neck/shoulder, and/or saddle pain when riding.
Despite this fact, most riders assume it's just part of riding a bike and suffer through it, hoping their symptoms will just go away.
We're here to tell you that riding a bike can and should be pain-free, and since 2012 have been helped thousands of cyclists ride with more comfort, power and general enjoyment on the bike.
