Post-operative physical therapy is standard, but did you know that PT before surgery can improve your outcomes, help you heal faster, and save you money? We will work with your physician to chart a path that's right for you. 25% of all the bones in the human body are in your feet. When these bones are out of alignment, so is the rest of your body.

A physical therapist is an ideal guide for ensuring your feet optimally support the rest of your body, preventing discomfort, pain and injury. As experts in movement, physical therapists serve as your first line of care when you experience pain, discomfort or injury while training or competing in your sport. At Body in Balance, we will work to restore you to the competitive level you enjoyed prior to your injury.

We know that injury, surgery and illness are already disruptive to a person's life, and we try to make your visits efficient, effective and often entertaining. At a time when studies indicate people are getting increasingly less sleep, one thing remains clear, says Palmer physical therapist Anne Thomas: we need to take sleep much more seriously as it is critical to both health and healing.

Physical therapy is standard after surgery, helping restore strength, comfort and mobility.
Working with a physical therapist before these and other surgeries can vastly improve your strength, education and confidence going into such a major procedure.
In turn, these "prehabilitation" efforts can improve the speed, success and cost of your rehabilitation experience post-surgery, getting you back to doing the things you love-free of pain.
