Bourgeois Physical Therapy & Sports
If you have difficulty performing any of your daily, job-related, sports-related, or recreational activities, we can help you accomplish your goals and get you back to doing what you want to do. Direct Access simply means that people no longer require a referral from a doctor or medical provider to attain physical therapy services. Several years ago, a state law was passed allowing people to come directly to physical therapy clinics for their care.

This eliminates unnecessary medical visits for common musculoskeletal injuries and treatments, which in turn gives you more time and cuts down on medical expenses. Medicare is one of the few insurances that still requires a referral from a medical doctor to receive physical therapy services. So, if you have Medicare, you will still need a referral to receive physical therapy services.

If you would like to receive direct access physical therapy services for a musculoskeletal or neurological condition, please give us a call to improve time efficiency and avoid any unnecessary medical costs.
