Sierra Nevada Physical Therapy
Sierra Nevada Physical Therapy will provide a comprehensive evaluation leading to an effective plan for recovery, reduced pain, and an enhanced lifestyle. At SNPT, patients receive quality treatment in physical therapy from Greg Booth, a licensed Physical Therapist for over 30 years. Greg is an Orthopedic Certified Specialist and a Certified Functional Manual Therapist.

He is also the only Health Care Practitioner in the Tahoe/Truckee area that is certified through the Owens Recovery Institute in the use of the Delphi Personalized Blood Flow Restriction Training device. In addition to his advanced certifications, Greg offers the latest techniques in physical therapy, developed from taking over 2,000 hours of continuing education classes.

Greg provides one-to-one treatments with a focus on each individual patient. The ultimate goal is to help decrease pain and return to prior levels of function, without expensive surgery or the side effects of pain medications. Sierra Nevada Physical Therapy treats orthopedic, neurologic, and sports patients with Functional Manual Therapy.
Services
Greg Booth graduated from California State University Chico in 1985, with a B.A. in Physical Education.
He then went on to Daemen College and graduated Magna Cum Laude in 1991, with a degree in Physical Therapy.
Greg was hired by Neurosport Rehabilitation Associates in June of 1991, where he gained over 20 years of clinical experience by treating orthopedic, neurological, and sports injuries.
In 2001, Greg accepted a management position at Neurosport where he supervised five physical therapists and continued to actively treat patients.
Functional Manual Therapy is an integrated treatment system that couples mechanical treatment of joints, muscles, visceral, and neurovascular systems with manual techniques to enhance optimal function during sports related activities and activities of daily living.
The Functional Manual Therapy(R) (FMT) philosophy and structured system of patient care is founded on the recognition that all tissues of the body are intricately interconnected and that efficient balance and movement requires a dynamic interaction between the mechanical, neuromuscular and motor control systems.
You will be given a complete physical therapy examination on your first physical therapy visit.
Greg will evaluate your musculoskeletal system and may review other records, such as your medical history and x-rays.
The goal of this first session is to learn as much as possible about you and the difficulties you are having.
During your course of treatment, you will receive one on one care.
The type of physical therapy you will receive will be based on your particular condition and your wellness goals.
The following link is an audio of a Feldenkrais lesson to help you relax and breath easier.
This lesson addresses trunk rotation and helps you relax your torso and rib cage.
