The work of children is to play and have fun, something we have been doing with our pediatric patients since 2013. Our focus is to facilitate gross motor skills movement and function in order to transition into a full and rich adult life. Function is our primary goal. After the brain has received proper input, we give the child practical skills suited to his/her ability level.
Find out when we have special events that you or your child may be interested in attending. At Intensive Physical Therapy Institute (IPTI), we specialize in treating pediatric patients. Our dedicated pediatric physical therapists are trained in helping children with cerebral palsy, spina bifida and other disabilities, both congenital and acquired.

Our intensive model is designed to serve children with pediatric physical therapy needs such as cerebral palsy physical therapy and spina bifida physical therapy.
Pediatric physical therapy works with children as young as 2-3 months to 21 years of age.
Cerebral palsy physical therapy is the most common neuromotor condition seen, but we have much to offer children who need spina bifida physical therapy and other neurological conditions.
Below you will find a list that will outline some of the pediatric physical therapy conditions we treat.

The equipment used in our pediatric physical therapy promotes correct alignment, allows for feedback to the brain, gives support and stability while the child grows in ability and confidence.
Creates NEW pathways to/from the brain, allowing new or improved motor skills to be formed.
Provides dynamic correction of movements, reinforcing proper movement during skills such as walking.
The NeuroSuit is an orthotic device (exoskeletal), designed after the original Adeli or "Penguin" suit.
It is one of the most effective tools in physical therapy for children with disabilities.

Decrease the pathological (compulsive) movements (according to specific patterns found in each child).
After organizing the child's body, we work on specific skills to achieve your goals, encouraging your child to improve function and gain confidence.
This is where we bring it all together and have fun!
We want to see what your child can do.
We love to use commands like, "Show me!" "Let me see what you can do!" "You do it-your turn!" Then we stand back and watch your child shine.
