The physical therapist will then formulate a list of problems you are having, and how to treat those problems.
A plan is subsequently developed with the patient's input.
This includes how many times you should see the therapist per week, how many weeks you will need therapy, home exercise programs, patient education, short-term/long-term goals, and what is expected after discharge from therapy.
This plan is created with input from you, your physical therapist, and your doctor.
Make sure you bring your physical therapy referral (provided to you by your doctor) and your payment information.

Dry needling is a specific physical therapy treatment technique that uses a solid filament needle to treat muscle trigger points, which are creating pain and discomfort.
A trained physical therapist inserts small, sterile filament needles into the skin and muscle directly at a myofascial trigger point.
A muscle trigger point is a localized taut band of skeletal muscle fibers, that is painful to palpation.
These trigger points play a role in producing and sustaining feelings of pain and discomfort.
