Whether your goal is to return to work, sport, play, or adventure, Mountain to Sea Physical Therapy can get you there. We deliver a uniquely personal rehab experience in our private clinic or in the comfort of your own home. Come inside to learn how Mountain to Sea Physical Therapy can help you live your Best Life. After a few months of weekly sessions with Heidi, I hiked for 12 miles in Yosemite and just signed up for a soccer league.

I am indebted to her for transforming my life and allowing me to live again. Over the years I've learned that there is no magical fix for my injuries, but I know that when I put in the work, Heidi's methods are the closet thing to magical I've experienced at PT. The same can be said for your physical therapy. As we work based on a one-on-one treatment model, not all insurance plans will be accepted.

Mountain to Sea Physical Therapy will do its best to work with you and your insurance plan, but ultimately a higher priority will be placed on your health and wellbeing over allowing insurance companies to dictate what they think you need.

When Dr. Heidi Gastler founded Mountain to Sea in 2016, she set out to create a physical therapy experience unlike any other in Southern California.
A lifelong adventurer, she believes in pushing herself and her patients beyond the limits.
She grew up in Minneapolis, Minnesota where she competed in downhill ski racing and snowboarding and danced in a ballet company.
An avid ocean-sport enthusiast, she felt the call of the Pacific and relocated to Southern California in 2011.
She enjoys spending her free time either on or under the water, prone paddling or scuba diving, and keeps fit by hefting stones and flipping tires at a local Strongman gym.
I have been a lifelong runner, and always wanted to run marathons.
I ran my first marathon in 2001 at the age of 24, and caught the bug.
Over the next 5 years, I ran 5 more marathons.
High mileage can take its toll on your body; for me, it was in the form of Achilles tendonitis and IT Band Syndrome, which I hoped to beat in a few months' time and resume running when I felt better.
Unfortunately, what was supposed to be a 6 month break turned into several years due to a series of non-running related injuries, most notably displacing my 5th metatarsal as well as breaking it in a second location.
Navigating your insurance plan can be stressful and complicated and no one wants to be surprised when it comes to a medical bill.
