Maintaining and promoting ethical principles and standards of conduct for members is a function of APTA.
APTA is a voluntary organization without the legal power of licensing agencies to enforce standards of behavior; however, the Association's disciplinary process does represent a commitment of a public nature to hold its members to the ethical principles and standards of the profession.
The purpose of the chapter Ethics Committee is to serve as a resource and to provide education on ethical issues to members.

The APTA Virginia is a 501c6 and operates with the countless hours that its members give of themselves.
More often than not there is an opportunity for you to get engaged with the chapter.
The Virginia Chapter believes that volunteering should be fun, engaging, a networking opportunity, and use your unique skillset.
If you are interested in serving the chapter, please reach out to Marie Stravlo, the Chapter's Executive Director.
She'll set up some time to get to know you and talk about the various opportunities.
