The Therapy Spot
At The Therapy SPOT, we specialize in comprehensive pediatric physical, occupational and speech Therapies. The Therapy SPOT emphasizes the total child when treating children of all ages. Families, including parents and siblings, are encouraged to take an active role in helping children to achieve their full potential. At The Therapy SPOT we are committed to providing the most comprehensive and skilled Adult Rehabilitative Services.

We individually tailor a therapy program for adults needing physical, occupational and speech therapies. If you do not receive a response within 24 business hours, please call us at 631.582.0088. Phyllis graduated from the School of Allied Health Professions, SUNY @ Stony Brook in 1983 with a B.S. in Physical Therapy, receiving The Award for General Excellence in Physical Therapy from the School of Allied Health Professions and the Award of Excellence from The Long Island District American Physical Therapy Association.

She has held positions as both a Staff and Senior Physical Therapist at The Burke Rehabilitation Center of White Plains, New York, having the opportunity to advance skills in the area of evaluation and treatment of adult neurological, rheumatology, cardiac, pulmonary, spinal cord, head trauma patients, and more.
Services
A separate and private adult therapy space that provides the opportunity for strengthening, gross motor coordination development and endurance building.
Allows for comfort, relaxation, positioning, soft tissue mobilization, use of modalities and specialty manual therapy techniques.
A private venue for pediatric and adult patients to use with the development of articulation, cognitive linguistics, executive functions and auditory processing.
Supports activities involving dexterity, manipulatives, handwriting ADL's and visual motor skill development.

We provide comprehensive pediatric Physical Therapy Services to children of all ages with varying degrees of impairment.
Services include a comprehensive evaluation and ongoing communication the family and caregivers, in a fun, enthusiastic and positive environment fostering independence.
If your preschooler is determined to be eligible for Physical Therapy Related Services through The Committee on Preschool Special Education (CPSE), The Therapy SPOT can provide these services through Suffolk County.
Please call your school district or our office for more information with regard to eligibility for services through this program.
We currently have contracts with a number of School Districts in Suffolk County to provide treatment and evaluations.
At the request and authorization of your School District we can also provide impartial Physical Therapy School Based Evaluations.
If your preschooler is determined to be eligible for Speech-Language Therapy Related Services through The Committee on Preschool Special Education (CPSE), The Therapy SPOT can provide these services.

At The Therapy SPOT, we emphasize consistent, quality, one on one physical therapy service to all of our patients.
We provide comprehensive, individualized rehabilitation services for neurologic, orthopedic and sports-related injuries and impairments.
Services begin with a comprehensive evaluation and communication with your referring physician.
Occupational Therapy services include remediation and compensation for acute or chronic musculoskeletal dysfunction and include identification and treatment of visual deficits including visual scanning, use of vision and interpretation of visual information resulting from various congenital or acquired neurological difficulties.
