Two Smithtown sisters, Lorie and Tina Echerer, were committed to providing each patient with a hands-on, individualized treatment plan in a friendly, family like environment. Their experience and personal touch became more than just a little TLC. Lorie Echerer-Van Riel, PT is a graduate of Smithtown High School East. She earned a Bachelor of Science Degree at the University of South Florida in 1994.
She attained her physical therapy degree at the Hogeschool van Groningen, the Netherlands in 1998. Lorie is currently pursuing her manual therapy certification at the University of St. Augustine and recently began a Vestibular Rehabilitation Program here at TLC. Tina Elderbaum, MPT is a graduate of Smithtown High School. She earned a Bachelor of Science Degree at Campbell University.
Throughout her studies at Campbell she was the pitcher for their Division One softball team. Her background as an athlete enhances her specialty in treating athletes with shoulder injuries. She attained a Master's Degree in Physical Therapy from Old Dominion University in 1999.
