Established over 25 years ago Health Motion is the premier manual physical therapy specialist in Grand Rapids. Our unique approach, utilizing the Scale of Function, has earned us a reputation for high quality therapy that produces great results. The Scale of Function breaks the physical function of the body down into 4 phases covering a total of 10 steps.

These phases and steps form a gradient scale of function, meaning that each higher level of function on the scale depends upon the functions below it. Discovering the first steps to take after an injury, or just figuring out what is causing your pain, can be a confusing task. We're here to help find the best path to move you forward. Join us for a free screening with a licensed physical therapist to answer questions, discuss options, and find a solution to your problem.

To believe I would be pain free again is amazing. Health Motion has been tremendous in helping me understand the cause of my pain and how to manage it, which ultimately led to becoming pain free along with exercise.

Now I can run 10+ miles pain free and swim 2-3 times per week.
I feel awesome!
Better than I have in years.
I actually bagged 40 bags of leaves this weekend and needed NO Motrin or heating pads afterward.
