Southland has been delivering quality Pediatric Speech, Occupational, Physical Therapy services to those who need it the most in South Carolina and Georgia since 2006. Southland Therapy Services accepts referrals from parents, agencies, pediatricians, and family doctors. We also work with other professionals such as child service coordinators, early interventionists, and special needs agencies to make sure your child has access to every service they may require.

Our board certified therapists can develop individualized goals and will thoroughly evaluate your child's progress along the way in order to provide the best care possible. Southland Therapy Services is dedicated to assisting our patients in reaching their goals, while teaching families how to create therapeutic opportunities for their children within that child's most natural environment.
Our Therapists are experienced in the treatment of expressive and receptive language disorders, articulation disorders, apraxia of speech, autism spectrum disorders, cognitive delays, sensory processing disorder, learning disabilities, ADD and ADHD, torticollis, plagiocephaly, traumatic brain injury and feeding disorders just to name a few.
We have therapists who see children in the Georgia clinic located in Savannah, as well as therapists who treat within the natural environment setting in both GA and SC.
Our state licensed Speech Language Pathologists are trained to evaluate and treat a variety of speech, voice, and language disorders.
They can provide evaluation and treatment of expressive and receptive language disorders, communication disorders, articulation and phonological disorders, cognitive skills such as problem solving and reasoning, feeding and swallowing, oral motor skills, augmentative communication, and behavior management.
Ages 1-2 yrs: Understands "no"; Uses 10 to 20 words including names; Combines two words such as "daddy bye-bye"; Waves good-bye and plays pat-a-cake; Makes the "sounds" of familiar animals; Gives a toy when asked; Uses words such as "more" to make wants known; Points to his or her toes, eyes, and nose; Brings object from another room when asked.
Referral process: Southland Therapy accepts referrals from parents, doctors, Babynet, health departments and other state agencies serving children in Georgia and South Carolina.
If your child is covered under your private insurance and also has Medicaid, we ask that you bring both cards to the initial evaluation appointment.
Medicaid requires us to bill the primary insurance first before they will pay for services.
The therapist(s) will call you to set up your child's first appointment.
Before your evaluation please complete the appropriate documents found on the forms page, the information is necessary for the therapists to complete your child's evaluation.
Our state licensed Physical Therapists will evaluate and treat the needs of the pediatric population through a wide variety of modalities.
These therapists are specialized in the diagnosis, treatment, and management of pediatric and adolescent age children through a variety of congenital, developmental, neuromuscular, skeletal, or acquired disorders/diseases.
Treatments focus on improving gross and fine motor skills, balance and coordination, strength and endurance as well as cognitive and sensory processing/integration.
