Kingsley Physical Therapy was formed in 2006 to serve the village of Kingsley and the surrounding areas. It is an independent private practice owned and operated by Lars Mitchell, MPT, OCS, CSCS who is also a local resident. The practice is located at 409 West Main Street just 1 1/2 blocks West of Garfield. The practice is driven by excellence in service.

Implicit with this excellence is a commitment to individualized care that is customized to each patient's specific needs and the unique nature of their injuries. Treatment principles are evidence based and address resolving current pain and dysfunction as well as addressing potential biomechanical causes. A strong emphasis is placed on manual therapy and functional exercise as well as patient education in prevention and self-management.

Kingsley Physical Therapy also provides access to many advanced, cutting edge technologies including the ML830 Laser, ASTYM, the REPEX table, and the 3DActiveTrac.
Services
At the core of Physical therapy is the understanding of human movement.
Inherent with this understanding is the interaction of different systems and parts of the body in generating and controlling this movement.
Clients seek the services of a physical therapist (PT) for many reasons.
The most common reasons involve restoring function, mobility, and relieving pain.
Physical therapy also plays a crucial role in physical disability prevention as well as promoting optimal performance in athletes.
A physical therapist is trained to examine, diagnose, and treat the immediate problem, as well as provide preventative measures for the future.
Manual Therapy; a hands on approach, which can include massage, joint mobilization, and soft tissue mobilization, among others.
Lars Mitchell, MPT, OCS, CSCS has been trained in advanced manual therapy techniques from Australia, Canada, and the United States.
Core Stabilization Exercises: These exercises are designed to restore normal muscle firing and strength/stability to the muscles that protect your spine.
Recent research findings just out of Australia have demonstrated how crucial these exercises are in preventing the reoccurrence of low back and neck pain.
