OK, here we go. I am 24 years old, standing at JFK with $200 in my pocket, wondering about this new adventure. I had no idea about the challenge or how it would turn out. And it turned out awesome! After living in New York for a while, I moved to Florida and then to Illinois. I was able to transfer my physical therapist diploma, pass the Illinois board exam, and became licensed physical therapist in 2006.

On a more personal note, I also got married to my husband Jim and we welcomed our son Vincent in 2007. Since moving to Illinois, I have worked at Good Shepherd Hospital and Alpine Family Physicians for the past ten years. During that time, I also worked as an independent contractor for various orthopedic physician groups, family practices, and neurologists.

It gave me good understanding of how physical therapy operates in various settings. It also provided me with the opportunity to take lots of continuing education courses and helped me clearly define the type of therapy I wanted to provide for my patients.
Services
On your first visit we will go over the history of your pain or injury, perform strength and range of motion measurements, as well as special tests to help come up with a diagnosis of your issue, and develop a treatment plan.
We will also test the rest of the body and find out if there are other imbalances in your arms, torso, or legs that might be causing your pain.
It's almost like checking if the axles of the car are out of alignment if your car is always wearing out the same tire.
During the subsequent visits, we will dig deeper.
