The state of Michigan allows direct access to physical therapy. This law means that a patient does not need to obtain a referral or prescription to physical therapy. Frank and I cannot tell you how much we appreciate all of your help getting Matt back to 'normal' after his horrible football injury. Thank you all so much, you guys are the best! I love First Rehab and all the staff there.

I am always welcomed and know that the treatment my daughter gets will be wonderful but also done in a loving way. My daughter has Down Syndrome and with that comes lots of physical challenges that Lindsay and I have worked on together. My daughter is now 3 and walking, running, and climbing! First Rehab has been there every step of the way. The Alter G has allowed me the ability to strengthen my body while not hindering my daily living.

Therefore, allowing me to conquer my RSD one step at a time. Having had an accident with multiple injuries, from day one of my therapy, you have been amazing. I have recovered in a way that exceeds my expectations.
Services
To provide an exceptional patient experience by serving our patients in a comfortable, compassionate environment with innovative therapies and personalized care.
Our team at First Rehab is committed to helping patients reach their goals through communication, treatment and education.
We strive to provide this care in a comfortable atmosphere.
The state of Michigan now allows direct access to physical therapy.
In short, this means that a patient does not need to visit their doctor to obtain a referral or prescription to physical therapy.
This practice is not designed to eliminate physicians, but instead put patients directly in contact with injury experts as quickly as possible.
According to Michigan Direct Access Law, a patient can receive treatment for up to 21 days (NOT 21 treatment visits) before needing a referral from a physician.
The innovative AlterG Anti-Gravity Treadmill is a game changer in physical therapy rehabilitation.
Whether you're a patient or an athlete dealing with lower body injuries, chronic pain or neurological conditions that inhibit mobility, you can benefit from the unweighting capabilities.
The Anti-Gravity Treadmill helps a broad spectrum of people - top level athletes, orthopedic and neurologic patients, pediatric, geriatric and those looking to lose weight - to achieve their personal health, wellness or performance goals and we are excited to be one of the only physical therapy locations in Michigan that offers this cutting-edge machine!
First Rehab & Sport recently added a new tool to help our patients feel better and heal faster.
There is a large variety of laser therapies being used today, but LiteCure Medical is the preferred brand of professional athletic trainers and is a clinically proven modality.
LiteCure Medical is the leader in scientific research and education.
Laser therapy is a non-invasive technique to help reduce pain and inflammation.
This pain relief treatment is FDA cleared and enables patients to have an non-invasive alternative to drugs and surgery.
LSVT BIG is a specific kind of physical therapy that helps people with Parkinson disease (PD) learn to use their body more normally.
People living with PD or other neurological conditions often move differently, with gestures and actions that become smaller and slower.
This can interfere with one's ability to walk, get dressed and perform other activities of daily living.
LSVT BIG effectively trains improved movements for any activity, whether "small motor" tasks like buttoning a shirt or "large motor" tasks like getting up from the sofa or chair or maintaining balance while walking.
