Our office is directed by Pamela Downey, DPT, Doctor of Physical Therapy, nationally-recognized expert, and adjunct faculty member at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. Partnership in Therapy provides compassionate, professional physical therapy for both female and male patients suffering from pelvic floor muscle dysfunction; spine dysfunction; and complaints associated with pregnancy and the postpartum period.
It is common for patients to believe that they are the only one suffering from their condition; a condition that most people don't discuss. Trust us with your care. We have helped many people with the following diagnoses. We are also specialists in the treatment of neck and back pain, spinal issues and sacroiliac joint disorders, along with many other related issues.
We pride ourselves on providing the highest quality care to help you get back to your normal activities as quickly as possible. At Partnership in Therapy, we partner with our patients in their process of treatment.

Services
At Partnership in Therapy, our philosophy is built on partnering with our patients to achieve optimal outcomes and results.
We strive not only to provide our patients with top notch physical therapy, but also to nurture positive, productive client-therapist relationships.
This means listening to your concerns, treating you with professionalism and understanding, and thinking "outside the box" in complex cases.
Our physical therapists gladly coordinate with your other health care providers; we also offer referrals to medical professionals in the area, should that be appropriate for your condition.

Pelvic physical therapy is a sub-speciality of physical therapy.
The pelvic muscles form essentially a "sling" or cradle in your pelvis, running alongside and around the anus, urethra, vagina (in women), and prostate (in men).
When pelvic muscles become very tense and/or dysfunctional, it can result in pain, discomfort, and other serious physical difficulties.
Certain medical conditions can worsen if there is pelvic floor dysfunction present.
Abdominal muscles and upper thigh muscles that interact with the pelvic floor can also be involved in and exacerbate pelvic pain.
