Services
Physical Therapy for Women emphasizes a natural, well-rounded approach to comprehensive wellness.
A number of services are offered to help patients improve and maintain their health including physical therapy, wellness services and consulting.
PT for Women provides hands-on, customized care.
Whether you're recovering from surgery, an injury, or are simply looking for a new way to exercise, Anne Collins Duch at PT for Women can help.
No patient should have to choose between surgery and living with pelvic pain.
Many believe pain is an unavoidable symptom following childbirth, surgery, birth control use, or simply getting older.
It's not uncommon to just accept pelvic floor dysfunction or discomfort as part of everyday life.
These issues may manifest as urinary urgency, constipation, or painful sexual intercourse.
Often, women's health issues are treated with medications or surgical procedures.
However, many of the conditions listed below can be treated with specialized physical therapy where patients can live symptom free and pain free.
At Physical Therapy for Women, Anne is dedicated to helping patients reduce and prevent dysfunction as well as improving overall wellness.
These wellness services can be utilized as an extension of physical therapy or simply a way to feel your best.
Services are open to patients with osteoporosis, athletes recovering from injury, pregnant women, postpartum moms, or anyone looking to improve their overall health and wellness.
In addition, Anne offers one-on-one consulting.
This prenatal fitness class is a unique blend of cardiovascular, resistive training, yoga, and childbirth education.
As a local expert on women's health issues and a certified MUTU Pro, Anne frequently speaks on many of the issues that affect women's heath across their lifespan.
She currently teaches and lectures at The Birth Center in Wilmington, Delaware Technical Community College and the University of Delaware Graduate Therapy Program.
Anne has also been a guest speaker to many regional women's groups.
If appointment times or travel are difficult for your schedule, consultations are also available for individuals via Telehealth.
Anne got her start working in a high volume, fast-paced orthopedic environment.
As a physical therapist, she couldn't help but notice a blatant need for a more specialized approach to women's health.
Rather than relying on generic treatments and surgery, Anne wanted to take a personal, holistic route to helping her patients overcome their individual obstacles.
This desire led her to become one of 100 Board Certified Women's Health Specialists (WCS), and the only one in the state of Delaware.
In 2008, Anne founded her own practice (Physical Therapy for Women) dedicated to providing the one-on-one care that women suffering from pelvic health issues need and deserve, but can't often find.
