We understand that starting physical therapy can be a bit intimidating, especially if you have never been to therapy before. Whether your goal is to spend time with your grandchildren, go hiking in the foothills, or cycle the mountain passes, our physical therapists are dedicated to truly understanding your condition and goals, so you can get back to doing the things you love.

No two patients or injuries are the same, that's why your physical therapy experience should be tailored to your specific needs. Treatments may include Manual Therapy (including spinal manipulation), specific Strengthening and Flexibility exercises, Education and Training. Therapist continuing education is critical in remaining at the top of our game so you can remain at the top of yours.

Our therapists hold advanced certification in many specialized services and techniques. Many people in our community commute to Denver which is why we offer early morning, late evening, and Saturday hours. As time passes by, the experiences I have in my life and the people who shape these moments are all that matters.
Services
Conifer Physical Therapy was founded in 2014 by Mary Thuente, PT, MSPT, and is a locally owned and operated physical therapy clinic.
Located in beautiful Conifer, Colorado, Conifer Physical Therapy serves the 285 corridor including Conifer, Bailey, Pine and Evergreen.
We are committed to efficiently delivering quality service to our patients which is why we only offer one on one (PT to patient) visits.
We do not utilize aides or assistants.
We believe that each patient is unique and comes for treatment with their own set of individual symptoms/problems, and deserves to be evaluated and treated based on their individual case, not as a predetermined diagnosis.
Mary graduated with her Masters in Physical Therapy in 2000 from the University Of Colorado Health Sciences Center.
She is a Colorado native and has always enjoyed the outdoor lifestyle that Colorado has to offer.
She enjoys hiking, golfing, gardening, quilting, and photography.
Kyle graduated from Indiana State University with his Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2020.
His passion for the outdoors has driven him to help others access their environment and reach their potential.
In his free time you can find him hiking local trails, camping, trail running, and fly fishing with his fiance and dog Harper.
Every patient has a unique health history, diagnosis and personal goals.
When you come for your first appointment, we will create a personalized treatment plan just for you.
On average, a patient's first visit lasts about an hour.
We typically ask patients to arrive 15 minutes early to sign-in, complete paperwork and/or change clothes.
If desired, you may bring a change of clothing.
During your first visit, your physical therapist will do an initial evaluation and discuss your plan of care.
The therapist uses this information to set goals for your continued treatment.
The Footmaxx 3Dmaxx system uses highly advanced proprietary software to help our physical therapists further evaluate patients for knee, hip, low back, balance and biomechanical issues.
The eight key foot landmarks (lateral heel, medial heel, five metatarsal heads and the hallux) are accurately isolated and tracked throughout the stance phase of gait during this analysis.
Correction of these issues through the use of custom orthotics can improve function, ease pain, and help correct biomechanics.
