Each session will start with a full body alignment evaluation. This will allow us to diagnose your root cause of pain and identify other areas that may be hindering your posture, movement, or performance. At Arise Physical Therapy we will use a range of hands-on therapy techniques to improve joint motion, soft tissue mobility, and overall alignment of your body.

Movement is key! We will provide you with a personalized home exercise routine that will help you become pain free and reach your health goals. I have had the privilege of doing sessions with Justin the past few years. The combination of his hands-on approach and ability to pinpoint the source of the problem is effective and always helps relieve my pain and improve mobility.

I regularly use the stretches and techniques he has designed for me as well. Justin is a caring and talented professional, and I'm happy to highly recommend him and Arise PT & Wellness! After two torn ACLs on the same knee, I wouldn't trust my knee with anyone but Justin.

Justin Vaidyan is a graduate of the University at Buffalo with his Doctorate in physical therapy.
His passion is to empower patients to live a healthy, pain-free life.
He wants more for his patients than just to be pain-free and functional; he wants his patients to thrive and achieve their physical and health goals!
Justin's treatments consist of various manual therapy techniques that include myofascial release, active release technique, spinal manipulation, graston technique, cupping technique, and movement therapy.
A non-invasive treatment system precisely engineered to locate and quickly resolve soft-tissue disorders.
Through Active Release Therapy (ART), millions have discovered that they do not have to "just live with" pain or restricted movement, or endure tedious treatment regimens for a chance at a full recovery.
Also called Active Release Technique, is a non-invasive manual therapy technique that works to correct soft tissue restrictions that cause pain and mobility issues.
The goal is to break down scar tissue and adhesions in order to optimize function in the body.
Graston Technique uses instruments to achieve the effects and benefits of soft tissue mobilization.
With Graston, there are six specifically designed stainless steel instruments that a therapist uses to help find and treat soft tissue problems.
It is an evidence-based method of IASTM (Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization) used in combination with rehabilitation exercises to improve musculoskeletal function.
You can think of the Graston technique as a deeper and more intense version of manual therapy.
Your therapist will gently massage and feel for stiff or tightened areas.
Also massaging and stretching the areas that feel rigid with light manual pressure.
The therapist then aids the tissue and supportive sheath in releasing pressure and tightness.
The process is repeated multiple times on the same trigger point and on other trigger points until the therapist feels the tension is fully released.
It's not always easy to understand what trigger point is responsible for the pain.
Localizing pain to a specific trigger point is very difficult.
Strength and conditioning in its simplest form is the practical application of sports science to enhance movement quality.
It is grounded in evidence-based research and physiology of exercise and anatomy.
We all move and therefore we can all benefit from a better quality of movement.
Strength and conditioning isn't a hardcore beasting only for athletes, nor is it a particular Olympic lift, prowler push, or hill sprint drill.
Whilst we might associate these moves with strength and conditioning, they're tools that aid good strength and conditioning.
