Services
Graduate of Quinnipiac University with a bachelor's in Physical Therapy who had no idea the trajectory life had in-store for me.
I graduated with so much information bestowed, but not enough to help my patients the way I wished I could.
My life was changed when I was introduced to manual therapy.
I was amazed that all you needed were your two hands and your heart to help someone.
I took my first continuing education class in manual therapy and never looked back.
I am very grateful to have learned manual therapy from some of the most gifted practitioners in the world, including Ed Stiles, DO, Paul Chauffeur, DO, Lawrence Jones, DO, Frank Lowen, MT, Raymond Hruby, DO, Stephen Davidson, DO and Stephen Moran, PT.
The first visit will be between one and a half and two hours.
The time includes an extended patient interview and physical examination in order to determine the true reason for your complaint, as well as treatment if time permits.
If it is determined that you have Mind Body Syndrome, treatment sessions can be done in-person or remotely via zoom, FaceTime or phone.
It is important to note that for acute pain, recent injuries and other complaints, MBS may still be the root cause.
The focus of your care will be patient education, movement with awareness graded-exercise, relaxation, manual therapy if needed and homework to help relax the nervous system and help you trust your body and yourself again.
There's at least an 80% chance that the symptom or condition you have (acute or chronic) stems from Mind Body Syndrome (MBS).
What is MBS?
It means the symptom(s) you are feeling is originating in the brain and not the area that has the symptom.
The area that hurts is actually fine, and the pain you're still experiencing is from a habituated response in your brain.
It is important to say, the pain is real; you're not making it up!
Through non invasive treatment, you can learn to change the brain pattern to one that is symptom-free.
If you're having acute chest pain, unusual shortness of breath, unexplained severe headache, etc., Dial 911.you may be having a medical emergency.
Allow the doctors and nurses to evaluate and treat you.
Here are some suggestions of things you can do to change your chronic pain and in many cases, your acute pain.
1. Determine if you have Mind Body Syndrome (MBS).
How?
Get Howard Schubiner's book, Unlearn Your Pain, and/or watch any of his YouTube videos.
See if you fit the description and if it resonates with you.
