Do your joints feel stiff and sore when you wake up in the morning, or even after you sit down for a few hours?
Those sore joints could be arthritis, which affects almost 54 million Americans.
The good news is that one of the most effective, proven treatments to relieve the symptoms of arthritis is getting regular physical exercise.
This can be improved on even further by working directly with a physical therapist, occupational therapists and certified hand therapist, who can help you create a tailor-made exercise plan to relieve those achy joints.
Do you have somewhere you go that when you walk through the door you immediately feel welcome?
WELL.that's exactly what I experienced at Professional Care Physical Therapy.
My surgeon adamantly stressed that I cancel another physical therapy organization I had already scheduled to "go see George".
My spinal surgery was so severe another surgeon declined to attempt.
Therefore, my surgeon made sure I would be in the BEST physical therapy hands possible.
I have been going to Professional Care PT for over 5 months!
Balance and gait disorders can have a seriously negative impact on your life.
Unfortunately, sometimes these disorders can go undiagnosed because you do not realize where the problem lies.
You may just notice that you feel uncomfortable during your day-to-day activities, have issues with your balance or struggle with pain while walking.
When you are feeling emotional or physical distress related to movement, often the best thing you can do is meet with a physical therapist.
If you suspect that you may be struggling with a balance or gait disorder, please contact us.
Pain is the body's normal reaction to an illness or injury.
Pain is designed to let you know whenever something is wrong.
Typically, when the body has healed, the pain will subside and things should return to normal.
However, in some cases, the brain can continue to send out pain signals long after the illness or injury is gone.
If you have pain that lasts from 3 to 6 months or more, you could be dealing with chronic pain.
When a person has been hurting day after day, it is common to experience not only physical pain but emotional distress as well.
