Dan Wright PT, DPT, CFMM Manual Physical Therapy Specialist of Pataskala, Newark, Granville and Columbus, Ohio. Certified in Functional Manual Medicine (CFMM) through Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine. Have you tried physical therapy in the past without much success and are "tired of taking addictive pain medications?". Knee, hip, shoulder, ankle, back and neck pain can all be devastating and life changing especially if not appropriately treated quickly.

If you have aches and pains, why not be treated quickly and efficiently to prevent them from becoming a chronic condition? This is when someone has low back pain that they let linger for years, having inappropriate treatment, taking pain meds, physical therapy, chiropractic care all without help and eventual back surgery as a last resort. Then the pain continues to be present after the low back surgery with minimal benefit.

After surgery and in a chronic state of pain without any improvements, the condition is much harder to treat and sometimes impossible to improve.
Services
Have you ever had physical therapy?
Have you been disappointed in your results?
Did the therapist ever put their hands on you doing manual therapy, or did you do the same exercises at home as in the clinic?
To me that is not skilled physical therapy.
Skilled physical therapy is a hands-on manual medicine approach in which the therapist will spend the time with their hands on you figuring out the root of the problem, can explain the problem in an easy to understand manner, can instantly start addressing the problem, and then follow up with the appropriate exercises.
Low Back Pain- Have you ever heard of a failed back?
This is when someone has low back pain that they let linger for years, having inappropriate treatment, taking pain meds, physical therapy, chiropractic care all without help and eventual back surgery as a last resort.

Let me say this right away - if you're reading this and you and are aged 40+, you are obviously very serious about and protective of your health.
You ARE right to be objecting to the painkillers and GENERIC exercises likely to be offered to you by your GP or general therapist.
You don't need me to tell you that painkillers don't get to the bottom of these types of problems and worse yet, all they ever do is mask the pain, often making it worse in the end.
If you are suffering with DAILY, ANNOYING, and NAGGING Pain in your NECK area, the first thing I want you to know is that I am familiar with your problem.
Whether you want to get rid of the nagging pain in your shoulder so you can do day to day work around the house with improved comfort or maybe your pain is restricting your ability to dress and you don't want to be restricted in that way, or maybe you want to get back to working out at a high level.
The good thing is you came to the right place.
When you come to Wright Physiotherapy you will get a SPECIALIST OF SHOULDER INJURIES that uses the natural healing of the body by using hands on manual therapy.
Scoliosis can be debilitating due to causing significant back pain, neck pain, and headaches.
When you look at a spine from the front to back, it should be nice and straight.
Someone with scoliosis will have a curve or curves that go from side to side described as an "S" or "C" shaped when looking straight on.
This is not a normal spine.
A normal shaped spine is really good at taking forces and the weight of gravity when we are active working and playing.
What the abnormal shape of a scoliotic spine does is not allow the spine to work in its normal manner to distribute the forces of day to day activity.
