Services
I, Tim Bonack, had been a co-owner of a Physical Therapy clinic in Colorado Springs for 19 years.
After completing my training as a Canadian Trained Osteopath, I realized that my vision for the direction of the previous clinic I co-owned couldn't be realized.
I started Manual Edge as a one therapist practice dedicated to exceptional Manual Therapy.
Over time, we have grown to include several, highly trained Manual Physical Therapists, each with their areas of specialty using primarily hands on Manual Physical Therapy to get you better.
We utilize many types of Manual Physical Therapy techniques that have their origin in Osteopathy.
These are Hands-On techniques performed on you by your Physical Therapist during your 50-55 minute appointment.
Patients are often surprised by how these gentle techniques can get such amazing results.
The specific types of technique used is individually tailored to the you according to many factors.
Primarily, it is our philosophy to work with your body, using our hands to constantly assess your body's feedback, rather than trying to force your body to do something according to solely what the Physical Therapist thinks is effective.
Back and neck pain can be complex issues causing you a great deal of pain as well as limit your ability to enjoy all life has to offer; from walking to sports to playing with grandchildren on the floor.
If you have back or neck pain for more than 4 weeks, you likely have a complex situation where normal activity or simple treatment with ice, heat, and stretching won't help.
Effective treatment means treating all the problems with the mobility of structures in the area or even nearby areas.
After all, everything is connected (just like the song)!
Your head is the most complex area of your body.
This is due to the hundreds of anatomical parts that are packed into the relatively small area of your head.
Most patients with a headache, temporomandibular joint (TMJ), or facial pain have been treated by many physicians, dentists, chiropractors, massage therapists, and Physical Therapists before they are seen in our clinic.
Most of these practitioners, despite their best intentions, focus treatment on one area to get you pain relief.
Dentists focus on your teeth and bite.
Pelvic pain and incontinence can be the result of simple or complex issues that can cause you a great deal of distress by limiting your ability to engage fully in life due to pain, embarrassment, and inconvenience.
There are many causes of pelvic pain and incontinence.
Often, it seems like it comes on overnight but, typically it is something that develops over months or even years.
Pelvic pain can be caused by childbirth, hormonal changes, abdominal or pelvic surgeries, chronic constipation, recurrent yeast or urinary tract infections, falls, sexual traumas and poor posture.
