Sumlar Therapy offers competitive compensation, flexible scheduling, and a full benefits package. We have opportunities for licensed PTs, OTs, and SLPs, as well as licensed PTAs, and COTAs. New graduates are welcome. Sumlar Therapy is committed to training therapists new to the field of pediatrics, hippotherapy, and aquatic therapy. Sumlar Therapy began as one physical therapist's dream of providing services for a few children in her home, with a riding arena for hippotherapy in her front yard.
But since opening in 2001, Kristin (Sumlar) McMillan, PT, has responded to a tremendous need in Southeast Alabama by steadily growing Sumlar Therapy into one of the largest pediatric staffs in the state, with a strong reputation for excellent care and innovative therapy. The 4,000-square-foot pediatric clinic provides child-friendly spaces for speech therapy, occupational therapy, and physical therapy for children with mild to profound disabilities.

Services
Sumlar Therapy Services, Inc. began in 2001 as a pediatric physical therapist's plan to work a few hours a week from home.
Kristin (Sumlar) McMillan, PT, began providing clinical therapy as well as hippotherapy-the therapeutic use of the rhythmic movement of a horse-in the front yard of her century-old home.
As the demand grew, physical, occupational, and speech therapists began meeting there several times a week to treat children with mild to profound disabilities.
The home's original library became the main office.
