Activcore introduces a total body approach to physical therapy and fitness that helps you reclaim your active life. Recovering from a sports injury, pregnancy, surgery or any health condition isn't always easy. Your body can often fall out of balance where problems in one area (pain, weakness, loss of motion, etc.) impact other areas. For example, most shoulder problems actually stem from muscle imbalances around the core, pelvis and hips.
That's why you need a professional to test and treat you from head to toe. At Activcore, we are expertly trained to fix any hidden muscle imbalances that hold you back from feeling, moving and performing at your very best. We stay by your side at every session, applying corrective exercises as an alternative to surgery and medication. Not all physical therapy is the same.
In the conventional PT model, only 6-25% of all patients actually complete a full course of care. That means up to 94% of all patients drop out! This is a staggering statistic that should make you think twice about where you go for physical therapy.

Our vision to lead a new class of physical therapy and performance lives in every member of today's Activcore team.
But its origin can be traced to the inspirational stories of our company founders: Ian Kornbluth, Jamie Kornbluth, and Tyler Joyce.
The meaningful actions of these physical therapists have given us 3 essential core values that guide our work every day.
Our founders believed that physical therapy could be delivered in a better way.
So, in 2004, they started an unconventional "one-on-one" practice that put each client at the center of everything they did for the fastest results possible.

Anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury is an all too common knee injury in athletes participating in sports like soccer, lacrosse, gymnastics, snowboarding and skiing.
Your ACL is a key structure to provide rotational stability to the knee.
It also prevents your tibia (shin bone) from translating forward in front of the femur (thigh bone).
ACL injury can occur when an increased force, usually rotational, occurs at the knee joint during non-contact maneuvers, such as pivoting or cutting.
It can also occur via direct contact with another player on the field.

Contact sports involve physical activities where athletes come into bodily contact with one another.
Some examples include football, rugby, boxing, mixed martial arts, karate, hockey, lacrosse, and soccer.
There is an inherent risk of injury associated with participation in contact sports.
The physical demands placed on these athletes are uniquely different from the general population who do not engage in similar activities.
Likewise, physical therapy for this special population should not be given a conventional approach.
