Body In Balance Pt
Our treatment is based on a thorough biomechanical evaluation. We assess not only the symptomatic spot, but look at the entire region. This allows us to not only treat the symptoms, but to find the root cause of the symptoms. Hands-on soft tissue and joint mobilization to treat underlying structural limitations, restoring maximum, efficient movement.

This revolutionary, pain-relieving technique is yet another tool your P.T. may recommend as a part of your overall treatment plan. Our Physical Therapists perform a complete evaluation of the strength, flexibility and stability of your ankle, knee and hip which allows for the appropriate fabrication of a custom orthotic. Body in Balance Physical Therapy is founded on the simple principle of providing uncompromising, high quality physical therapy in a specialized one-on-one setting.

We believe we can provide more effective care and a superior patient experience where what's best for the patient always comes first. Our experienced physical therapists utilize a combination of hands-on techniques (manual therapy) to restore soft-tissue and joint mobility in conjunction with an individualized, prescriptive exercise program.

Adam graduated from Marquette University's Program in Physical Therapy in 1995, and now has over 20 years of experience treating patients full-time ever since.
Adam specializes in orthopedic, manual physical therapy, completing the rigorous process of certification as a Functional Manual Therapist (CFMT) by the Institute of Physical Art in 2007, and is currently taking further coursework for re-certification this year.
Of over 200,000 licensed physical therapists in the country, fewer than 300 have a certification in Functional Manual Therapy.
All of our treatment is based on a thorough biomechanical evaluation for every single patient we see.
We assess not only the symptomatic spot, but look at the entire region.
This allows us to not only treat the symptoms, but to find the root cause of the symptoms Generally, the evaluation includes a detailed discussion of your pertinent medical and/or injury history, a full body systems review, and a discussion of what YOUR personal goals are in physical therapy.
We perform selected tests and measures to identify potential and existing movement-related disorders.
We are known for advanced manual therapy, or hands-on treatment techniques.
Based on our evaluation, we identify mobility limitations within the joints, soft tissues, viscera and neurovascular tissues.
Limited mobility in these structures can impair a patient's function and ability to automatically and efficiently control our activities of daily living.
Much of our manual therapy is based on Functional Manual Therapy, an integrated evaluation and treatment system that promotes optimum human performance by enhancing total body mobility, as well as postural and movement strategies.
As Physical Therapists, we believe strongly that exercise is a key component to full recovery for nearly every one of our patients.
They key is that these exercises must be individualized and specific to each patient's needs and goals.
Often, these exercises become your home exercise program, and your full participation with them is critical to your success in eliminating symptoms and achieving your goals.
That being said, you won't find our patients getting pre-printed handouts with a dozen exercises on them.
We use a wide variety of modalities as a complimentary component of our care.
Ultrasound, electrical stimulation, Iontophoresis, Cervical Traction and Kinesiotaping are just some of the modalities employed to help our patients progress faster towards healing from their injury and eliminating their symptoms.
These can all be good tools when used judiciously by a qualified therapist.
Be advised, relying on modalities such as Ultrasound or E-Stim as a primary means of treatment is not an effective treatment plan based on evidence-based practices.
