I first came into Greg's Physical Therapy hurting with Left Knee and Right Flank discomfort. He gave me comfort that with time and therapy, it will heal back to normal.

His helper, Kaitlin, was great. I now will go home completely healed and without any pain. Greg first hand did terrific therapy. When I first came into Physical Therapy, my ankle was really swollen. I wasn't able to stand or put pressure on my left ankle.
Services
In the fall of 1987, when Greg Rahn began his search to find a place to establish his physical therapy practice, he was looking for a community that was in need of just such a service.
He soon discovered Kings Park, a community that was nearly identical to where he had been raised in his hometown of Batavia, New York.
Both were towns that were close knit, and family oriented with strong traditions, values and community spirit all the things that he had been accustomed to growing up.
Needless to say, he decided that this was where his practice belonged and successfully established the first physical therapy office in Kings Park in the spring of 1988 with the goal of "We're Here To Help."
Physical therapists (PTs) are health care professionals who evaluate and treat individuals of all ages, from newborns to the elderly, who have medical problems or other health-related conditions that limit their ability to move and perform functional activities in their daily lives.
PTs examine each individual and develop a plan using treatment techniques to promote the ability to move, reduce pain, restore function, and prevent disability.
In addition, PTs work with individuals to prevent the loss of mobility before it occurs by developing fitness- and wellness-oriented programs for healthier and more active lifestyles.
Physical therapists are licensed health care professionals who evaluate and treat people with health problems resulting from injury or disease.
They measure many different aspects of human function including muscle strength, joint range of motion, endurance and balance.
They assess where the deficits are causing pain or decreased function.
Along with these findings and in conjunction with the doctor's prescription, physical therapists formulate a treatment plan to promote the patient's well being.
Play It S.A.F.E., the concussion management program we utilize, starts with preseason baseline testing using objective neuro-physical balance testing to complement the neuro-cognitive testing tool of choice (currently using IMPACT cognitive testing administered by Dr. Hayley Queller/she is the program coordinator for KPHS).
In addition, the Balance System SD adds vestibular and objective balance assessment, so important in concussion management.
Athletes of all levels can test and train in both static and dynamic mode to improve proprioception and avoid injury or re-injury.
For the past fifteen years we have treated all forms of spinal disease at Kings Park Physical Therapy.
From the patient with disc herniation and radiculopathy, to the restricted musculoskeletal and rheumatological patient.
All patients have different symptoms, needs, and tolerance to exercise.
Having the full resources of modality therapy, hands-on care and strengthening equipment, has given our physical therapists a full array of treatment options to best suit the needs of their patients.
