Physical Therapy 212
Dr. Kristen Schulte, PT founded Physical Therapy 212 in Troy, OH with the idea that if physical therapy could be done differently, with more individualized care and greater attention to detail, patients would get better with fewer visits. The easiest injury to treat is the one that never occurs; at every visit you will be screened and educated on areas where problems could arise.

We have never created a protocol for treatment because we have yet to see two patients with the same list of ailments or goals. We are proud members of the American Physical Therapy Association and value being involved in circles for sharing research among colleagues. You will never need a physician's referral or approval from an insurance company to see us.

Each 55 minute physical therapy session is billed at the same flat rate every time, no matter the treatment performed or equipment used. You will pay at the end of the session and will never receive after-visit bills from us or a third party. Our goal is to teach you to manage your symptoms on your own, but we want you to reach out to us for check-ups and for any ache/pain/stress/strain.
Services
Dr. Schulte understands how it feels to have injury hold you back from the activities you love.
A former track and cross country athlete at Xavier University, she sustained a low back injury that was projected to end her running career.
Fortunately, she began pursuing alternatives to surgery and medication, which led to earning her Doctorate in Physical Therapy at the University of Dayton.
Doing physical therapy the "right way" is personal for Dr. Athena.
While watching her mom go through an ultimately ineffective, one-size-fits-all physical therapy program for a frozen shoulder then seeing her mom thrive in a clinic that prioritized individualized care, Dr. Athena realized that she did not just want to be a physical therapist but rather a physical therapist who.
We evaluate you as an individual, using an extensive approach and developing a treatment plan with you.
We use an integrated hands-on approach for treating pain, injury, or malalignment.
Then we get you moving so that you can get back to doing what you love, pain free!
Our doctors of physical therapy are direct-access, meaning that you do not need a physician referral, prescription, or insurance approval to see us.
Sure, we can help you recover from surgery, but we can also see you before surgery, and in some cases, we can help you feel better without surgery.
Classical Pilates is a specific approach to exercise that incorporates the principles of centering, concentration, control, precision, breath, and flow into exercises meant to support core strength and spinal health.
Started in the 1920s by Joseph Pilates, Classical Pilates was originally designed to rehabilitate soldiers returning from war and later to elevate performance and prevent injury among dancers.
Today, Classical Pilates has developed into a method for improving overall fitness with emphasis on safely achieving a healthy, elongated spine by using your own body or with assistance from specialized equipment, called a Reformer.
