Georgialina Physical Therapy
Our excellent practitioners, helpful support staff and calming environment can both quickly and safely lead you to recovery. I couldn't have made it through 2 shoulder surgeries in 2 years without the whole staff. From the warm welcomes upon arrival to Nicole's tough love and encouragement to Justin checking in on me to ensure my progression. Hopefully, I won't need PT in the future, but if I do, it will be with GPT.

I felt I successfully met my goals here. It was wonderful to experience progressive improvement with the guidance of my two therapists Kristen and Justin. Couldn't have asked for better mentors! The employees in Aiken are amazing and wonderful to work with, and they are a hard-working, friendly crew that helps this process go much smoother. Thank you everyone for all YOU did to assist me!

I will miss you! My knee is 1000% better since coming to GPT. Seth, my physical therapist, taught me so much especially how to prevent any future dancing injuries. The entire experience at GPT was wonderful!

According to the American Physical Therapy Association, back pain is the most commonly reported pain across the nation, and one out of every four Americans has experienced back pain in the past three months.
Back pain and sciatica differ but are often confused with each other.
Back is specific to the upper, middle or lower back.
Sciatica is a more diffuse, radiating pain down the buttock, thigh, and even leg.
It is also possible to have radiculopathy, which is a radiating numbness, tingling, burning, or sharp pain to a specific part of the leg.
Do you ever feel unsteady, or not quite as sure-footed as you used to be? Do you find yourself having to reach for walls or furniture to steady yourself?
Do you experience pain in your hips, knees, or other joints that have changed the way that you walk?
If so, you may be suffering from a balance or gait disorder.
Balance and gait can develop for a variety of reasons and can be physically and mentally disrupting.
Underlying musculoskeletal and neurological disorders can cause or aggravate a balance or gait problem.
Are you suffering from a persistent pain that's limiting your physical abilities?
If so, our physical therapy treatments can help you find relief, even if you have tried physical therapy before.
Pain doesn't always work in traditional ways.
Sometimes it can linger for days, weeks, or even months due to an underlying condition.
When pain persists for three months or longer, that is considered "chronic pain."
Chronic pain is both debilitating physically and emotionally.
At Georgialina Physical Therapy in Georgia or South Carolina, we understand your needs and have success in treating many patients suffering from chronic pain.
We've all had the sensation of being dizzy - as if you can't focus, can't see straight, can't stand upright without swaying or falling.
You may even experience "tunnel vision, " where your peripheral vision goes dark for a few seconds.
Dizziness is common and can have many causes.
Vertigo, however, is a little different.
While dizziness is typically synonymous with "lightheadedness, " which creates the illusion of being unsteady, vertigo is typically a response to a physiological factor that is causing a quite literal imbalance in your body.
