Tom Segal, PT opened our Boca Raton office in 1985 with a prime focus on addressing the functional impairments of the active adult population in the west Boca Raton area. Mr. Segal's hard work, dedication, compassionate care, and keen eye for quality staff resulted in him growing a successful physical therapy practice and becoming a well-respected clinician and businessman.

The Boca Raton office is located in Fontana Plaza, just north of Glades Road at the corner of Lyons Road and La Fontana Boulevard. In 1997, David Witt, PT joined Tom in the Boca Raton office and the two expanded the practice by opening the Delray Beach location in 1999. Mr. Witt has grown the Delray Beach practice by utilizing his clinical expertise and goal driven style, while creating an enjoyable and energetic atmosphere.

The Delray Beach office is located in the 5162 building of the Palm Court Plaza, just across the parking lot from Delray Medical Center. Brian has a strong orthopedic background and is highly motivated to carry on the tradition of excellence at Segal & Witt Physical Therapy.
Services
Vestibular disorders describe a wide variety of problems associated with dysfunction of the inner ear.
Benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (BPPV) is the most common inner ear disorder in people over 65 years of age.
BPPV is a condition that results in vertigo (a spinning sensation) due to a displacement of tiny crystals from one area of the inner ear (their anatomical home) to another area called the semicircular canals (where they are not supposed to be located).
The presence of those crystals in a canal results in an abnormal distortion of the motion sensors.
Orthopedic conditions are wide ranging, from tendonitis and bruises to fractures and post-surgical conditions.
Segal & Witt Physical Therapy has extensive experience in the treatment of common diagnoses such as joint sprains, muscle strains, and muscular spasm through a selective use of therapist administered joint mobilization (manual therapy) and use of treatment modalities including electrical muscle stimulation, ultrasound, heat, ice, and soft tissue mobilization.
Each office has staff trained in postural corrective exercises, including flexibility, strengthening, and core stabilization.
Proper timing and swing sequence are what all skilled golfers possess.
Altered movement patterns due to injury, pain, muscle spasm, muscle weakness, and muscle tightness can greatly affect a golfer's ability to achieve their most efficient golf swing.
An efficient golf swing relies upon basic physical attributes, such as golf specific balance, flexibility, and strength.
Right sided lower back pain is the most common ailment affecting amateur golfers.
A golf specific exercise program often can make the difference not only in golf performance, but in daily function as well.
