Services
At The Recovery Room, our mission is to help our clients MOVE better, PERFORM better, and EXCEL at every physical endeavor.
By tapping into the body's innate capacity for self-healing and balance our personalized therapy will promote vigor, athleticism, and optimal health.
The Recovery Room was founded by two doctors of physical therapy who feel the practice of physical therapy is being dictated by insurance guidelines and isolated physician diagnosis, rather than focusing on full body movement and impairments.
Our therapists have many years of experience working with the region's top orthopedic surgeons.
The Selective Functional Movement Assessment (SMFA) is a diagnostic system designed to assess the quality of seven cardinal movement patterns that are central to everyday human functioning.
Moving the head, reaching, bending forward, bending backwards, twisting, stepping, and squatting are activities that people perform on a daily basis.
If the quality of any of these motions is compromised over time, inflammation, pain, and soft tissue damage can result.
You do not need a physician prescription to start treatment with us at the Recovery Room.
Due to "Direct Access, " a physician referral is not required for physical therapy in the state of New Jersey.
