Steppin' Up Physical Therapy & Fitness
We accept virtually all insurance carriers including Medicaid and Medicare. Our friendly and helpful customer care staff will be happy to verify your healthcare benefits. Patient benefits are verified prior to the start of treatment and individualized payment plans are available to those without coverage; we'll work with you to accommodate your individual needs.

This is highly variable. You may need one visit or you may need months of care. It depends on your diagnosis, the severity of your impairments, your past medical history, etc. You will be re-evaluated on a monthly basis and when you see your doctor, we will provide you with a progress report with our recommendations. You and others may be referred to physical therapy because of a movement dysfunction associated with pain.

Your difficulty with moving part(s) of your body (like bending at the low back or difficulty sleeping on your shoulder, etc.) very likely results in limitations with your daily activities (e.g., difficulty getting out of a chair, an inability to play sports, or trouble with walking, etc.).

Our pediatric physical therapy program emphasizes a team approach with respect to the evaluation and treatment of your child.
The main goal of the pediatric physical therapy program is to minimize disability, and help the children get back to the activities they do best - play, attend school, and participate in community activities.
Pediatric physical therapy promotes independence, increases participation, facilitates motor development and function, improves strength and endurance, enhances learning opportunities, and eases challenges with daily caregiving.
A balance disorder is a condition that makes you feel unsteady or dizzy.
If you are standing, sitting, or lying down, you might feel as if you are moving, spinning, or floating.
If you are walking, you might suddenly feel as if you are tipping over.
Everyone has a dizzy spell now and then, but the term "dizziness" can mean different things to different people.
For one person, dizziness might mean a fleeting feeling of faintness, while for another it could be an intense sensation of spinning (vertigo) that lasts a long time.
The overall goal of rehabilitation after lower limb amputation is to reach your best level of health and independence in your walking, daily activities, and quality of life.
A lot of things impact your recovery after amputation, such as your level of amputation, physical condition, diet, family support, emotional well-being, and personal motivation.
A rehabilitation program that takes care of your physical needs and emotional well-being can help you have an independent life.
Many patients are able to use a prosthesis, also called an artificial limb, but your care team can also help you become more independent in daily life without a prosthesis.
