I think education is the biggest service I can provide, helping patients understand the underlying causes and triggers of their pain enables them to take control and shorten their time in recovery. Terry uses a compassionate approach to patient treatment that focuses on the complex nature of how we experience pain. This approach utilizes extensive education, as well as targeted manual and exercise therapy.

In a 60 minute appointment she can utilize the combination of these interventions to create the best outcomes for each patient. While she specializes in the treatment of persistent pain and patients with complex orthopedic disorders, she also treats a variety of conditions from lymphedema, cervicogenic headaches and vestibular disorders, such as dizziness or vertigo.

Terry has been practicing and teaching physical therapy for over 20 years. She received her master's degree from New York Medical College and her clinical doctorate in physical therapy from the University of Southern California.

Our sense of balance is like a 3 legged table with the eyes (vision), ears (vestibular system) and legs (sensation in our feet, muscles and joints in legs) holding us up.
A deficiency in any one of these areas can cause a balance problem and lead to falls.
The balance system needs to be strengthened to stay strong.
A skilled vestibular therapist knows how to critically evaluate the balance system to find areas of deficiencies and set up a specific treatment plan to address these deficits.
Balance can improve no matter how old you may be, but it takes work.
