When my daughter was diagnosed with scoliosis this past summer, I was told by the doctor to simply monitor the curve for the next 6 months.

I decided not to wait and did more research on my own. I found out that it was best to get her into physical therapy (PT), specifically the Schroth Method. We had gone to Kaiser's PT and they spent about 15 minutes on my daughter.

Resonance Physical Therapy specializes in Scoliosis treatment providing one on one intensive rehab for Scoliosis.
Scoliosis is the twisting and turning of the spine away from where it typically should be.
A typical spine should look like a straight line when you look at it from the back.
In scoliosis, the spine turns out or in, to the sides.
It also involves twisting of each of the involved vertebra.
During pregnancy as the baby grows inside mother's uterus, the baby can put pressure on the bladder which sits in front of the uterus.
This pressure can cause an increased urinary urgency, need for urination more frequently than usual, and in combination of weak pelvic floor muscles can cause urinary leakage.
Although, it is not uncommon, urinary leakage during pregnancy is not normal and can be relieved by pelvic floor therapy.
Sandy is an expert at assessing the entire body system and will develop an effective treatment plan for your specific problem and to help meet your goals.
These conditions are a sign of pelvic floor problem and can be relieved by pelvic floor treatments.
Urine leakage is never normal at any time in life whether it is during pregnancy, after childbirth or after menopause.
The same also goes for leaking urine with laughing, coughing, or sneezing-no matter how hard you are laughing or sneezing.
Filling of the bladder with urine should create a urge or a pressure sensation which should never be painful.
You should be able to hold urine for a reasonable period of time such that you can get to the restroom, get ready to urinate in a timely manner.
Seems like everyone has constipation these days.
Having constipation means that you are not having a bowel movement everyday.
Technically, not having atleast 3 times a week is constipation.
However, for optimal health if you eat everyday you should eliminate everyday.
Sometimes the stool is hard and lumpy which makes it hard to eliminate, or having to straining to eliminate.
These can cause pain with bowel movements, cause tears in the anal area, and can also cause hemorrhoids.
When you are constipated for a period of time, the stool remains in the colon longer than necessary and can result in a bigger mid-section and backache.
